The Performance Conversation

You’ve been on management training, you’re managing people, you’re doing performance appraisals, but is the performance conversation adding value, or is it just something you do because it’s one of your KPI’s?


More often than not, the Performance Appraisal is seen by managers as just another chore to get done as quickly as possible because HR says so. Hence, the Performance Conversation is at best short lived and at worst, used to “beat up” the staff member. In other words, no value, other than certain questionable statistics, flows from the average Performance Appraisal. 

This program is about having a Performance Conversation with your employee that adds value to their experience with you, the manager, and also adds value to the information flowing back to HR. It’s about having a constructive Performance Conversation!

3. How to provide clear and constructive Feedback 

4. How to address performance issues 

5. How to navigate your way through Difficult Performance Conversations 

6. How to recognise good performance
